Hotel Requests

Please select your first and second choice of hotel, and room type preferred. If your first and second choice of hotel are not available, you will be contacted and offered alternatives as close to your preferences as possible. Your request cannot be accepted without arrival and departure dates. You are requested to supply your credit card details in order to guarantee your reservation, however your card will not be debited prior to your arrival at the hotel (except in the case of late cancellation - see below). Your credit card details will be encrypted and supplied via a secure source to Dovetail Foks. The details will remain encrypted and stored securely with Dovetail Foks. The BBC and its personnel will not have access to your credit card details. Please note that if you do not have a credit card and need to transfer the funds by bank transfer to Dovetail Foks, a charge of £15 will be added to cover the bank charges levied.

Amendments and Cancellations

Amendments and cancellations must be advised in writing directly to BBC Worldwide and Dovetail Foks. In the event that you cancel your reservation or reduce your duration of stay after 1st February 2012, your credit card details will be decrypted by Dovetail Foks and the card will be debited for the sum of your original stay (unless the room can be resold).

Check-in time

Check-in and check-out times are given in the hotel notes. Early check-in can be requested but can only be guaranteed if the room is booked and paid for the previous night.

Travel

There is an excellent high speed train service between Liverpool Lime Street and London Euston with Virgin Trains, which takes approximately 2 hours. The venue and hotels are a quick taxi ride from the station.

Liverpool’s John Lennon Airport is 7 miles from the venue with direct flights to and from destinations in Benelux, Central and Eastern Europe, France, Germany, Iberia, the Northern Mediterranean and Scandinavia.
Regular inexpensive buses operate from Liverpool John Lennon Airport to the ACC & Liverpool Lime Street, including the Airlink 500. The Airlink 500 operates every 30 minutes, Monday-Sunday from 0645hrs to 2345hrs. You can also take Arriva bus services 86A, 80A and 82A.
A taxi from directly outside the airport terminal to Liverpool City Centre will take about 20 minutes and cost approximately £15 (prices vary depending on exact destination and so passengers are advised to check fare with the driver).

Manchester Airport, connecting the rest of the world, is just 30 miles away, or you may prefer to fly into Liverpool via Amsterdam, which serves over 500 cities worldwide.
From Manchester Airport, guests can take a taxi from outside any of the three terminals. There are also frequent direct train services to and from Liverpool with Transpennine Express and Northern Rail run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
